Dinner – 28 to 30 June 2016

We would have been full on Saturday night were it not for the no show table. Doubly annoying as we had to turn away a couple who had not booked thinking we did not have space. Why do people do that?

Three courses £29 50     Two courses £25     Starter and pudding £14.50


Roasted red pepper soup

Devon crab, prawn and crayfish tail “cocktail”

Tricolore salad, ripe tomato, avocado and buffalo mozzarella with basil oil

English asparagus and Jersey Royal salad, flaked sea trout and dill dressing

Baked free range egg on air dried ham and creamed Evesham leeks


Poached Brill fillet, baby leaf spinach and white wine cream sauce

Baked hake supreme on plum tomato sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over orange and Cognac jus

Cotswold pork escallops with chorizo and paprika cream

Aged local beef fillet with a rich mushroom and red wine sauce (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Mediterranean vegetables and braised lentils baked under pesto and Parmesan cream


Baked custard tart with English strawberries

Rum and raisin cheesecake

Dark chocolate and raspberry torte, raspberry sorbet

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
