Mid week dinner menu – 24 to 26 May 2016

Nailsworth Festival started on Saturday so naturally it poured with rain for most of the day. Such a shame.

Three courses £29 50     Two courses £25     Starter and pudding £14.50

 

Butternut squash soup

Pan fried Devon crab cake with sweet chilli dipping sauce

Warm tender stem broccoli and pine nut tart, dressed wild rocket and feta

Cornish mackerel fillet with home grown pear chutney

Jersey Royal potato and English asparagus salad, spiced chicken breast and Caesar dressing

 

Poached sea trout supreme, baby leaf spinach and Prosecco cream sauce

Wild black bream fillet (caught by the day boat Lauren Anne out of Brighton) simply pan fried and served with fresh tomato and basil dressing

Roast Barbary duck breast, Bramley apple sauce and cider gravy

Cotswold pork escalopes with mushroom and chive cream sauce

Aged local beef fillet, wild garlic butter and rich red wine jus (£3.50 supplement, sorry)

Baharat spiced aubergine and chick pea stew on red, white and wild rice

 

Warm rhubarb and almond tart with clotted cream ice cream

Dark chocolate truffle cake with English strawberries

A classic crème brulée served with fine butter shortbread

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
