Mid week menu -17 to 19 May 2016

Every now and then I drop a ladder in to stream below our courtyard so as to trim the bay tree and remove any weeds and moss that grow in to the stone work of our buildings. A quiet Sunday when the sun is shining and the water is low and calm seemed ideal. As I stepped off the bottom rung of the ladder my wellies promptly filled with ice cold water which literally took my breath away. Either the recent downpours have washed away the steam bed or my eye sight is worse than I thought but I was sure I had a couple of inches clearance!
