Weekend menu – 29 & 30 April 2016

Bank holiday weekend upon us and guess what…the weather forecast is not great. We are almost full for Friday evening, spaces on Saturday at the moment. (strange…it’s usually the other way round!) Don’t forget Saturday brunch served from 11 a.m.

Baby leaf spinach soup

Pan fried natural smoked haddock fish cake with our tartare sauce

New season Wye valley asparagus served simply with lemon butter sauce

Devon crab, prawn and crayfish tail “cocktail”

Air dried ham, Evesham leek and a free range egg baked under double Gloucester cream


Pan fried seatrout supreme with slow roasted piccolo vine tomatoes and pesto

Poached Brixham plaice fillets in Prosecco cream sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over Bramley apple sauce, cider gravy

Cotswold pork escalopes, mixed mushroom and paprika cream sauce

Aged local beef fillet, red onion marmalade and rich Port reduction

Wild garlic and spring vegetable risotto with shaved Parmesan


Lemon tart with tangy lemon sorbet

Baked cheesecake, rhubarb compote and crème fraiche

Flourless 70% chocolate sunken cake served with white chocolate ice cream

Four West Country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
