Well that was a busy weekend…..three nights of Valentines menus, a hectic Saturday brunch and two birthday lunch parties………thank you!

Roasted red pepper soup
Pan fried smoked haddock fish cake with lemon and dill mayonnaise
Warm salad of sautéed calves liver and bacon
Winter mushrooms in garlic and parsley butter on toasted bloomer
Seared scallops with apple, pea shoots and crisp pancetta
Pan fried sea bass fillet, Mediterranean vegetables and wild rocket pesto
Poached halibut supreme in Prosecco cream sauce
Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” £3.50 supplement – sorry!
Sautéed Cotswold pork escalopes, buttered leeks and cider gravy
Seven spiced Barbary duck breast sliced over dark soy and ginger jus
Butternut squash cannelloni baked under Parmesan cream
Warm pear and almond tart with clotted cream ice cream
Crème brulée with fine butter shortbread
Dark chocolate and orange torte with tangy orange sorbet
