Well that’s October almost over. As soon as the shops have cleared the pumpkin displays away it will be all systems go with the festive build up.As usual we will try to resist until it is actually December!

Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October 2015
Three courses £29
Two courses £24.50

Autumn root and parsley broth
Pan fried salmon fish cake with pea shoots and chunky tartare sauce
Warm salad of flash roasted local venison loin with wild rocket and
red onion marmalade
Poole harbour clams tossed with linguine, garlic and white wine
Warm spinach and feta cheese tart, cracked wheat salad
Cornish monk fish tail, plum tomato sauce and crisp pancetta
Poached loch reared trout supreme with Prosecco cream sauce
Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” £3.50 supplement – sorry!
Sautéed Cotswold pork escalopes, buttered Evesham leeks, cider gravy
Pan roasted local pheasant breast in a chestnut and brandy cream sauce
Roasted butternut squash risotto with crème fraiche and scallions
Baked pumpkin cheesecake
Tangy lemon mousse, lemon sorbet and shortbread
Warm pecan tart served with salty caramel ice cream
Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
