Dinner – weekend 11/12 September 2015

As promised the festive menus are now on the blog under the heading Christmas and New Year 2015. With 2 tables booked already it is safe to say that New Years Eve will sell out quite quickly as usual. Back to this weekend and with some sunshine forecast we have swordfish on the menu. Just in case it turns out to be not so nice we also have venison sausage and mash!

Friday 11th and Saturday 12th September 2015
Three courses £29
Two courses £24.50

Roast tomato soup
Poached sea trout and prawn timbale, lemon dill dressing
Twice baked double Gloucester soufflé on watercress cream
sauce (15 minutes please)
Pan fried Devon crab cake with sweet chilli dipping sauce
Local venison sausage on creamy mash, red wine gravy
Poached Cornish monk fish tail, spinach and mild curry cream sauce
Seared swordfish steak with smoked tomato chutney
Aged local beef fillet, grilled red onion, wine jus £3.50 supplement – sorry!
Roast Barbary duck breast, Bramley apple sauce and cider reduction
Sautéed Cotswold pork escalopes with mushrooms and paprika cream
Autumn squash risotto, pumpkin seeds and truffle oil
Baked cheesecake with raspberries
Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart, white chocolate ice cream
Tunisian almond cake with tangy orange sorbet
Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
