Weekend dinner menu 8 & 9 May 2015

Phew … that was a heck of a storm. It has limited fish supplies from the south coast a little too. Only one table left for Saturday night……space on Friday at the moment as we had two cancellations last night! The water softener and washing machine saga has been resolved…..here’s hoping for a smooth and busy weekend to pay for it. As always please call 01453 832808 to book.

Finely sliced Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon with Devon
crab meat and prawns
New season English asparagus, smoked bacon lardons, tomato butter
Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet, wild rocket and apple salad
Twice baked double Gloucester soufflé (15 minutes please)
Steamed sea bass fillet with spring onion, ginger, sesame and dark soy
Poached supreme of loch reared trout, samphire and white wine cream
Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” £3.50 supplement – sorry!
Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over blueberry and brandy reduction
Sautéed Cotswold pork escalopes, buttered Evesham leeks and sage jus
Chestnut mushroom Stroganoff with red, white and wild rice
Baked cheesecake with a compote of early English strawberries
