Dinner menu – 5 to 7 May 2015

These things are sent to try us. On Friday a puddle appeared under the dishwasher…..it turned out that the water softener had a slow leak. By Saturday it was filling a plastic tray every few hours and needed baling out on a regular basis if we wanted to run the dish and glass washers. Just before we opened for dinner on Saturday night the glass washer decided enough was enough and tripped out all the electrics. We reset the board but the kitchen extract would not restart. As the first few customers arrived the power went again so we shut down the glass washer so that we could run everything else safely whilst baling and mopping, cooking, serving and cleaning up. This morning was spent crawling around a wet floor uncoupling water pipes to enable a closer inspection of the softener. I believe it needs replacing but of course it’s a bank holiday tomorrow so……….you get the picture!
