Dinner menu – 14 to 16 April 2015

Back to school this week. Hope the sunny weather continues as we need to go foraging for wild garlic before Tuesday. Wye valley asparagus is now available and will be on the menu for the duration of the season.

Roasted red pepper soup
Pan fried smoked haddock fish cake with tartare sauce
Warm salad of wild rocket, sautéed calves liver and bacon
Wye valley asparagus with lemon butter sauce
Crisp battered squid rings, smoked sea salt and wild garlic dip
Poached supreme of loch reared trout with shellfish cream
Pan roasted line caught cod loin, buttered spinach and tomato sauce
Aged local beef fillet with braised Evesham leek and a rich red wine reduction £3.50 supplement – sorry!
Sautéed Cotswold pork escalopes, chorizo and paprika cream sauce
Seven spiced Barbary duck breast sliced over dark soy and ginger jus
Spring mushroom risotto with Parmesan and truffle oil
Dark chocolate and cherry torte
Warm plum and almond tart with clotted cream ice cream
A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread
Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
