Mid week dinner menu – 10 to 12 February 2015

Still taking calls from customers looking for a table on Valentines day. We are full for Saturday evening but do have some space on Friday when we will offer the Valentine menu alongside our usual dinner menu.

Sweet potato and chive soup
Battered squid rings with garlic mayonnaise and smoked sea salt
Marinated baby plum tomatoes on toasted bloomer with Serrano ham
A simple starter of oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns
Winter mushroom millefeuille, herb cream sauce and truffle oil
Pan fried gilt head bream fillet on olive ratatouille
Poached sea trout supreme, spinach and mild curry cream sauce
Aged local beef fillet, beetroot relish and a rich red wine reduction

Cotswold pork escalopes, chorizo and canellini bean sauce
Seven spiced Barbary duck breast on dark soy and ginger jus
Twice baked goats cheese soufflé
Triple chocolate brownie, white chocolate ice cream
A classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread
Pecan tart served warm with clotted cream ice cream
Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
