Oldstone midweek dinner menu – 2 to 4 September 2014

A nice busy weekend to finish off the month of August with a full restaurant on both Friday and Saturday. Didn’t quite do the treble though as brunch was a bit slow….hey ho.

Tuesday 2nd to Thursday 4th September 2014

Parsnip and apple soup
Deep fried squid rings with sweet chilli dipping sauce
Evesham leeks wrapped in air dried ham and baked in Parmesan cream
Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns with Brandy cocktail sauce
Red pepper, baby leaf spinach and melting goats cheese feuiletté
Sea trout supreme with lemon and chive beurre blanc
Pan fried sea bass fillet with Asian spices and soy ginger jus
Sautéed Cotswold pork escalopes, mushroom cream sauce
Roast Barbary duck breast, hedgerow blackberries and Port reduction
Aged local beef fillet “Chasseur” £3.50 supplement – sorry!
Roast ratatouille with red, white and wild rice, vine tomato sauce
Warm apricot and almond tart, clotted cream ice cream
A classic crème brulée
Dark chocolate and orange torte with tangy orange sorbet
Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
Open for Saturday brunch from 11 a.m.
