Oldstone dinner menu – weekend 8/9 August 2014

Mixed fortunes so far this week……turning folk away on Tuesday night but watching the tumbleweed blow past on Wednesday! A few in the book for tonight and the weekend is building nicely so fingers crossed. Please call on 01453 832808 if you would like to reserve a table for Friday or Saturday.

Roasted red pepper soup
Pan fried smoked haddock fish cake, little plum tomatoes, wild rocket
New potato salad with baby chorizo sausages and pickled cucumber Devon crab meat and prawn tian with pineapple and sweet chilli dressing
Sautéed field mushrooms on garlic and parsley toasted bloomer
Poached salmon fillet, spinach and mild curry cream sauce
Fillet of sea bass simply pan fried and served with salsa verde
Sautéed Cotswold pork escalopes, apple and vintage cider cream sauce
Aged local beef fillet, red onion marmalade and a rich Port reduction £3.50 supplement – sorry!
Roast Barbary duck breast sliced over sweet and sour blueberry jus
Tomato and three cheese risotto with pine nuts and basil oil
Summer berries with Angel cake and clotted cream ice cream
Dark chocolate ginger cheesecake, stem ginger crème fraiche
Crème brulée with fine butter shortbread
Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
