Oldstone mid week dinner menu – 29 to 31 July 2014

How very continental…….we had six tables of diners sat out in the courtyard on Saturday night enjoying their meals                              “al fresco”……anyone passing by our front windows must have thought we were very quiet for a Saturday!

English tomato soup
Severn and Wye oak smoked and dill cured salmon with
horseradish crème fraiche
Baked Woodland valley egg with spinach and Parmesan cream
Pan fried Devon crab cake, sweet chilli dipping sauce
Seared local Roe deer loin, beetroot relish and wild rocket
Pan fried sea bass fillet on warm tomato and basil salad
Poached sea trout supreme with pea shoots and Prosecco cream sauce
Sautéed Cotswold pork escalopes, buttered Evesham leeks, mustard jus Barbary duck breast sliced over roasted pineapple, peppercorn sauce
Aged local beef fillet topped with melting Oxford blue cheese and a rich red wine reduction £3.50 supplement – sorry!
Chestnut mushroom risotto with snipped chives and truffle oil
Dark chocolate truffle cake with summer berries
Pecan tart served warm with Cornish clotted cream
Limoncello tiramisu with lemon sorbet
Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
Open for Saturday brunch from 11 a.m.
