Oldstone dinner menu – Friday 2 & Saturday 3 May 2014

A new month and another bank holiday weekend. We have lots of goodies arriving from the coast tomorrow as well as local farm fresh meats and vegetables complimented by the odd ingredient from further afield. Tables available for Friday night. Saturday dinner is fully booked. Don’t forget our more casual , no booking, Saturday brunch served from 11 a.m.

Pan fried Devon crab cake with sweet chilli dipping sauce
Simply cooked Wye valley asparagus with lemon beurre blanc
Smoked cod loin and Evesham leek tart, grain mustard cream

Cornish red gurnard with prawns, parsley and tomato sauce
Pan fried sea bass fillet, Mediterranean vegetables and pesto
Cotswold pork escalopes with chestnut mushroom cream sauce
Roast Barbary duck breast, sweet and sour berry and brandy jus
Aged local beef fillet with black truffle and rich red wine reduction £3.50 supplement – sorry!
Twice baked double Gloucester soufflé, spinach cream and roasted red pepper sauce
Field mushroom and mixed bean chilli on red, white and wild rice

Baked lime cheesecake, lemon sorbet
