Getting a bit ahead of ourselves here at Oldstone….as it was dry yesterday I jet washed the patio in readiness for washing down the garden furniture…..as the high today is only 7 degrees with a risk of hail storms this afternoon I might hold off on that job for now!

Battered squid rings with garlic herb dipping sauce

Twice baked double Gloucester soufflé, baby leaf spinach and roasted red pepper sauce – 15 minutes please –

A simple starter of Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns

Warm bacon and Evesham leek tart with pea shoot salad

South coast brill fillet, fennel and white wine cream sauce

Cornish gurnard fillet, rich tomato sauce and crisp pancetta

Cotswold pork escalopes with chorizo and paprika cream

Roast Barbary duck breast sliced on to pear cider sauce

Aged local beef fillet, beetroot relish and red wine reduction £3.50 supplement – sorry!

Mushroom Stroganoff with red, white and wild rice
