Oldstone dinner menu – 11 to 13 February 2014

A much calmer day weather wise thank goodness…..let’s hope it continues as folk are reluctant to come out for dinner when it is blowing a gale and the streets are awash as was the case for the whole of last week!

Roasted red pepper soup

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet, home grown pear chutney

Caramelised onion tart, watercress salad, walnut dressing

Crayfish tail and prawn tian with mango and sweet chilli

Sautéed fillet of local venison, beetroot relish and Port jus


Pan fried fillet of sea bass with fennel and lemon butter

Crab crusted salmon fillet on white wine cream sauce

Roast local pheasant breast with slow braised red cabbage

Cotswold pork escalopes, winter mushroom cream sauce

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” £3.50 supplement – sorry!

Tomato and baby leaf spinach risotto, melting goats cheese


Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart, clotted cream ice cream

Baileys crème brulée with fine shortbread

Tunisian almond cake, orange and mint salad

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
