Oldstone dinner menu – weekend 13 & 14 December 2013

Saturday night is fully booked but we do have tables for Friday at the moment. Don’t forget Saturday brunch from 11 a.m. ……pop in for a warm and a bite to eat as you tick off the Christmas shopping. Looking ahead…..next Friday 20th the Victorian costume singers will be calling by during dinner to sing a few carols which always adds a nice atmosphere……Christmas eve is now fully booked and we have just one table of two left for New years eve.

Roast tomato soup, focaccia croutons

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet, home grown pear chutney

Warm red pepper and ricotta tart, wild rocket and pine nut salad

Finely sliced oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and peeled prawns with lemon dill dressing

Pressed chicken, bacon and mushroom terrine, watercress

and Cumberland sauce


Sea trout supreme with cod cheeks and white wine cream sauce

Pan fried fillet of sea bass, crayfish tails and baby plum tomatoes

Aged local beef fillet with rich, slow braised oxtail sauce

Cotswold pork escalopes with mixed mushroom in a cream sauce
