Oldstone dinner menu – 29 to 31 October 2013

Not the busiest of weekends….poor weather combined with the half term break…..oh well I suppose we can’t be full EVERY Friday and Saturday. Speaking to other business owners in town it would seem that we were not alone. Another table booked for New Years Eve….spaces now limited.

Roast tomato soup

Finely sliced oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns with lemon dill dressing

Warm chorizo and ricotta tart, marinated cherry tomatoes

A bowl of rope grown mussels cooked with cider and cream

Winter mushroom millefeuille, herb cream sauce and truffle oil


Hake fillet baked with tomato, red onion and pesto

Cornish monk fish with white wine cream, bacon and peas

Roast local pheasant breast, braised red cabbage, chestnut sauce

Pan fried escalopes of Cotswold pork, sautéed onions, sage jus

Aged local beef fillet, horseradish crème fraiche and rich red wine reduction £3.50 supplement – sorry!

Twice baked goats cheese soufflé, baby leaf spinach, cream sauce


Pecan tart with crème brulée ice cream

Warm cinnamon apple pancake

Dark chocolate truffle cake with white chocolate ice cream

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
