Oldstone weekend menu – 13 & 14 September 2013

The first Partridge of the season have arrived via our butcher – Country Quality Meat – so we have a little autumn salad of flash roasted boneless Partridge with watercress and ripe pear on the menu this weekend.               Not many tables left for Friday or Saturday so please call 01453 832808 to secure yours.

Roasted red pepper soup

Smoked mackerel pâté with toasted bloomer

Mixed mushroom millefeuille, chive cream sauce and truffle oil

Pan fried Devon crab cake, sweet chilli dipping sauce

A warm autumn salad of roast local partridge with

watercress and pear


Baked boneless sea bream, tomato and crayfish sauce

Cornish gurnard fillet, baby leaf spinach and mild curry cream

Aged local beef fillet, red onion marmalade and rich Port reduction £3.50 supplement – sorry!

Roast Barbary duck breast, Victoria plums and brandy jus

Cotswold pork tenderloin, butterbean and chorizo stew

Twice baked goats cheese soufflé on tomato and pesto sauce


Warm pecan tart with clotted cream ice cream

Dark chocolate and orange torte, tangy orange sorbet

Crème brulée with shortbread and mixed berry compote

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
