Oldstone dinner menu – 27 to 29 August 2013

Friends and customers have very kindly been bringing us home grown fruits and vegetables lately. A variety of beans went into last weeks summer risotto. Courgettes of many shapes and sizes have been used for vegetables, soups and stuffing. Fruits have been enjoyed as they are or turned in to chutneys.

Pan fried Devon crab cake with dill mayonnaise

Wild rocket and donut peach salad with buffalo mozzarella

Prawn and crayfish tail tian, mango and sweet chilli dressing

Warm salad of watercress, sautéed calves liver and bacon

Pan fried sea bass fillet with plum tomato and red onion

Roast Barbary duck breast on sweet and sour blueberry jus

Cotswold pork tenderloin, chorizo and mushroom cream sauce

Aged local beef fillet, roast shallots and rich red wine reduction £3.50 supplement – sorry!

Globe courgette stuffed with red pepper risotto

Crème brulée with fine butter shortbread

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
