Oldstone dinner menu – weekend 5 & 6 July 2013

Our fish supplier is actively promoting the skippers catch scheme which supports a network of local skippers and day boats around our shores. With the aid of email and other technical wizardry we can be told that for example Alan Arnold and his crew have landed mackerel at Chesil beach, Tom Russell and the crew of Jessica Lynn out of Poole have mullet, sole and bream on board and that there are plenty of crab pots being lifted off the south Devon coast by Alan Steer on his day boat Superb-Us out of Dartmouth. All this means we get really fresh, good quality, responsibly caught fish straight from the coast to the fishmonger in Cirencester and on to us the next morning.
