Oldstone dinner menu 21 to 23 May 2013

Not a bad weekend…..full house for dinner on Saturday but a poor brunch turnout despite the Nailsworth festival being on. It doesn’t help when the organisers invite take away food stalls and burger vans to set up in the town square! REMINDER….we are not open for brunch this week (25th May). Dinner service as usual all week.

Pan fried Devon crab cake with sweet chilli dipping sauce

Simply steamed Wye valley asparagus, lemon butter sauce

Battered squid rings with garlic mayonnaise

Field mushrooms on toast, chive cream sauce and truffle oil


Cornish gurnard fillet in mild curry cream sauce

Pan fried sea bass fillet on tomato and olive stew

Seven spiced Barbary duck breast on dark soy and ginger jus

Cotswold pork tenderloin, buttered leeks and mustard gravy

Aged local beef fillet, red onion marmalade and rich Port reduction £3.50 supplement – sorry!

Twice baked goats cheese soufflé, pesto cream


Warm pecan tart with crème brulée ice cream

Dark chocolate and raspberry torte

English strawberry and cream meringue

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
