Oldstone dinner menu 23 to 25 April 2013

We got the courtyard all set up for brunch and only 2 out of almost 30 customers wanted to sit outside!         Better luck next Saturday. Unusually quiet over the weekend with 3 tables cancelling on Saturday night…..annoying but what can you do?

A simple plate of Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon

Melting goats cheese puff pastry tart with red onion marmalade


Pan fried sea bass fillet with wild garlic pesto

Poached salmon supreme, baby spinach and Champagne cream

Roast Barbary duck breast on orange and Cognac jus

Cotswold pork tenderloin, sautéed onions, sage and cider gravy

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” £3.50 supplement – sorry!

Portabello mushroom Stroganoff with red, white and wild rice


Rhubarb crème brulée

Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart, hazelnut ice cream

Baked cheesecake with mixed berry compote

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
