Oldstone weekend menu 8/9 March 2013

We are getting closer……Pete took advantage of a dry and mild Tuesday and the concrete was poured by 8.30. A few days for drying and a bit of stone walling then we will be able to park outside…yippee!    Reminder we are open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday this week so bring mum in for a treat. The Sunday menu is on the blog.

Watercress soup

Pan fried natural smoked haddock fish cake with tartare sauce

Venison meatballs in rich onion gravy on creamy mash

Seared scallops, pea shoots and sweet chilli and mango salsa

Twice baked goats cheese soufflé, baby leaf spinach and cream sauce – 15 minutes please


Poached salmon fillet with fennel and lemon butter sauce

Cornish monk fish tail, snow peas and roasted red pepper puree

Aged local beef fillet, porcini mushroom and truffle crust, Port pan juices £3.50 supplement – sorry!

Roast Barbary duck breast on blueberry and brandy reduction

Cotswold pork tenderloin, butterbeans, tomato, smoked bacon

Field mushroom Stroganoff with red, white and wild rice


Baked toffee apple cheesecake, crème brulée ice cream

Orange tart with lemon sorbet
