Oldstone dinner menu – weekend 22/23 February 2013

The cold weather has returned which has delayed the finishing off to the new parking space.It has been either too wet or too icy for weeks now but Pete assures us as soon as he sees 2 dry and frost free days forecast he will pour the concrete! A couple of tables still available for Friday and Saturday dinner at the moment. Farmers market this Saturday in town…..don’t forget we open for brunch from 11…..the heating will be on!

Smoked haddock fish cake on tomato and red onion salad

Baked boneless lemon and garlic chicken thigh with fragrant spiced cous cous

Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon, Devon crab meat and prawns with lemon dill dressing

Warm Gloucester cheese and Evesham leek tart with winter slaw


Brixham plaice fillet with crayfish and white wine cream sauce

Cornish cod loin, baby leaf spinach and citrus herb dressing

Aged local beef fillet “Chasseur” £3.50 supplement – sorry!

Roast Barbary duck breast, braised red cabbage, Port reduction

Cotswold pork tenderloin on chorizo and butterbean stew

Winter mushroom risotto, shaved Parmesan and truffle oil


A little Bramley apple crumble with crème brulée ice cream

Dark chocolate ginger cheesecake, stem ginger crème fraiche

Warm pecan tart with pistachio ice cream

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
