Oldstone weekend dinner menu – 5 & 6 October 2012

Chilly overnight and the pears are being blown off the tree despite not being ripe yet……chutney time I think.             Don’t want to scare you but in 12 weeks Christmas will be done and dusted!!!….so it is not too early to think about booking festive get togethers and New Years celebrations, some have done so already.                                          We have tables available for both Friday and Saturday evening at the moment, call us on 01453 832808 to book.

Sweet potato and smoked garlic soup

Pan fried Devon crab cake with sweet chilli dipping sauce

Rich venison ragu, seasoned linguine and Parmesan

Poached rainbow trout flaked over mixed tomato and red onion salad, dill mayonnaise

Spicy aubergine and chick pea stew, fromage frais, warm pitta


Pan fried fillets of sea bream with roasted red pepper dressing

Cornish lemon sole fillets simply cooked in seasoned lemon and parsley butter

Cotswold pork tenderloin, chorizo and mushroom cream sauce

Roast Barbary duck breast with damsons and vintage Port jus

Aged local beef fillet, tomato, tarragon and red wine reduction       £3 supplement – sorry!
