Oldstone weekend menu 9 & 10 March 2012

We still have some space left for mothers day lunch next Sunday 18th.

Spent a couple of hours jet washing the courtyard and furniture so we are ready if the sun shines on Saturday and it’s warm enough to have brunch outside.

Roast tomato soup

Pan fried Devon crab cake with sweet chilli dipping sauce

Baharat spiced aubergine and chick pea stew with pitta bread

Avocado with prawns and two sauces

Wild rocket, pear and Parmesan salad with Serrano ham


Cornish gurnard fillet, ripe tomato sauce, crisp pancetta

Fillets of gilt head bream, lemon and flat leaf parsley dressing

Cotswold pork tenderloin, buttered leeks and mustard gravy

Roast Barbary duck breast, apple sauce and Calvados jus

Aged local beef fillet, garlic field mushroom and deep red wine reduction £3 supplement – sorry!

Chestnut mushroom, black truffle and chive risotto


Lemon tart with lemon sorbet

Dark chocolate ginger cheesecake, stem ginger crème fraiche

A little Bramley apple crumble with clotted cream ice cream

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
