Oldstone menu weekend 5&6 August 2011

The delivery of very local and popular Nailsworth brewery ale has yet again failed to appear so we are moving our business a few miles down the road and have had our first delivery of award winning Stroud brewery Tom Long organic amber bitter. http://www.stroudbrewery.co.uk for more product info.   It looks good and we await the thumbs up from Chaz Levitt, our unofficial ale tester on his next visit.

Would you believe we sold out of red pepper soup last weekend despite it being warm enough to sit outside on both evenings!! …Soooooo…I have bought a big bag of English beef tomatoes which were a bit too soft for salads from Bramleys and made what I am sure is too much soup this week. One more tale…….we sold lots of mussels last Friday so I had a fresh delivery on Saturday morning to cover a busy dinner service. Yes you guessed it…….Hilary and I ate 2kilos of mussels with pasta for supper on Monday!!!!!

Only one table left for Saturday dinner……..lots of space for Friday at the moment…….here’s the menu.
