Oldstone menu weekend 6/7 May 2011

A bit cooler but the weather is still holding and the wind has dropped (not before a garden sunshade fell and smashed a pane of glass in the courtyard door).

No bank holidays this weekend …how odd!

The fishmonger reports limited supplies due to windy conditions combined with bank holiday catching up so a few safe options on the menu this weekend.

Plenty of lovely asparagus at Bramleys this morning both the local Wye valley and the smaller Cornish varieties.I bought both!

Baharat spiced aubergine and chick pea stew with red, white and wild rice

Mediterranean vegetable and polenta bake, ricotta and pesto
