Oldstone menu 18th & 19th March 2011

Having a nice busy week so far thanks in part to the Cheltenham festival and the race goers staying locally.

Found time to jet wash the courtyard and tidy up the garden furniture so we can offer outdoor tables for brunch on Saturday in the Spring sunshine.

Warm salad of flash roasted local roe deer loin with red

onion marmalade

Finely sliced oak smoked salmon, Devon crab paté and prawns with crème fraiche and dill dressing

Roast pepper and salami brushcetta, wild rocket and shaved Parmesan


Pan fried fillet of sea bass with warm fennel salad and lemon butter sauce

Roast loin of local pork, apple sauce and crackling

Roast leg of new season lamb, mint sauce and gravy

Baked Portabello mushroom stuffed with baby leaf spinach and toasted pine nuts under double Gloucester cheese


Served with a selection of fresh vegetables and Nupend farm potatoes


Baked custard tart with rhubarb
