Some lovely sustainable, MSC certified fish on the menu as usual this weekend together with meats from local producers and as many other locally sourced and seasonal ingredients as we can find.

Red onion soup, double Gloucester croute

Finely sliced dill cured salmon, crab meat and prawns with honey mustard dressing

Winter mushrooms in herb cream sauce, truffle oil and brioche

Local pheasant, smoked bacon and Calvados terrine, apple sauce

Pan fried Cornish mackerel fillet, little plum tomatoes on toast


Roast south coast Pollack supreme, green peas, lettuce and spring onions

Fillet of Welsh farmed sea bass on warm fennel salad

Cotswold pork tenderloin, braised red cabbage, mustard gravy

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre” £3 supplement – sorry!

Roast Barbary duck breast, blood orange and Cognac sauce

Spicy five bean, sweet potato and Jerusalem artichoke casserole


Apple and plum crumble with Cotteswold dairy cream

Dark chocolate ginger cheesecake, stem ginger crème fraiche

Pecan tart served warm with hazelnut ice cream

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
