This weekend’s dinner menu at Oldstone

We are fully booked for dinner on Saturday, but it is always worth ringing as there may be a cancellation.

Tables available for Friday and the weather forecast is good all weekend so you can enjoy pre dinner drinks as well as Saturday brunch in the courtyard.

Three courses £27.50

Two courses £23

Roasted red pepper soup

Cornish cod cheeks sautéed with red onion and chorizo

Steamed locally grown asparagus, lemon butter sauce

A whole dressed Devon crab with dill mayonnaise

Warm salad of seared Cotswold venison loin with raspberry vinaigrette


Pan fried supreme of sea reared trout on braised fennel

Cornish monk fish fillet, fresh tomato sauce and crisp pancetta

Aged local beef fillet, sautéed mixed mushrooms and rich red wine reduction £3 supplement – sorry!

Roast duck breast with blueberry and Bourbon sauce

Pork tenderloin sliced over buttered leeks, grain mustard gravy

Chestnut mushroom and broad bean stroganoff with red, white and wild rice


Tunisian almond cake with rhubarb and crème fraiche

Dark chocolate tart, white chocolate ice cream

Hereford strawberries with Lucy’s dairy cream and fine butter shortbread

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
