Oldstone menu 15 & 16 February 2012

Last Valentines diners just finishing off….every body seems happy which is nice. Here is the menu for the next 2 nights.

Two courses £23.50

Starter and a pudding £13 50

 

Watercress soup

Pan seared scallops, red pepper puree and crisp pancetta

Whole baked baby Cornish brie with toasted walnut bread for dipping (15 minutes please)

A good old fashioned prawn cocktail

Pressed ham hock terrine, wild rocket and tomato chutney

Pan fried fillet of sea bass, pea shoots and lemon dressing

Steamed sea trout supreme, Devon crab and white wine cream

Cotswold pork tenderloin, cannellini bean and chorizo stew

Aged local beef fillet “au poivre“£3 supplement – sorry!

Roast Barbary duck breast, blood orange and Cognac jus

Carrot and courgette cakes, baby leaf spinach and

curried carrot sauce

Dark chocolate and salty caramel tart, clotted cream ice cream

Classic crème brulée with fine butter shortbread

Lemon amaretti cheesecake, lemon sorbet, almond shot

Four west country cheeses, Bath Olivers and Hilary’s fruit bread
