Oldstone menu for this weekend – 10/11 February 2012

Valentines update….we have been fully booked for some time now and also have a short list of “reserves” in case of cancellations. Sorry if we could not offer you a table this year.

Hope the weather is on our side this weekend….last Saturday was a snow out! Apologies for our “work in progress” appearance …we still only have one lamp up outside and various piles of rubble …something to do with cement, stone work and sub zero temperatures I’m told.

Leek and ginger broth

Pan fried smoked salmon fish cake, chunky tartare sauce

Twice baked goats cheese soufflé, baby leaf spinach and cream

Pressed ham hock terrine, watercress and tomato relish

A bowl of steamed mussels finished with cream and curry spices

Pan fried fillet of sea bass, little plum tomatoes and basil

Roast Barbary duck breast with blood orange and brandy sauce

Aged local beef fillet, caramelised shallots and rich red wine reduction £3 supplement – sorry!

Cotswold pork tenderloin sliced over cannellini bean and chorizo stew

Mixed mushroom Stroganoff with red, white and wild rice
